AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) is an organization that conducts surveys on the facilities of the different technical colleges in India. It assesses curriculum standards, quality assurance, accreditation and funding to ensure that each school provides students with the education they need. AICTE plays a significant role in the overall development of India’s educational system. Some students won't consider engineering colleges that are not approved by AICTE. - Jadavpur University, established in 1906, offers engineering programs such as architecture engineering, chemical engineering, instrumentation and electronics engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, and many more; undergraduate and graduate courses are available. School facilities include a gymnasium, auditorium, health services, post office, student activity center and canteens. Students can also join clubs, unions and organizations. Applicants who qualify for enrollment must take a written exam and participate in an interview to determine if they'll be accepted. UGC (University Grants Commission) recognizes Jadaypur University as one of the universities in India with the potential for excellence.

jadavpur.edu - The National Institute of Technology in Tiruchirappalli has 16 departments, nine of which deal with engineering. It offers instrumentation and control, electronics and communication, and electrical, chemical and civil engineering programs. All applicants must pass the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). Facilities at the institute include a library, computer center, lecture halls, various laboratories, workshops and hostels. The institute’s faculty is composed of professors, readers and lecturers who are well-known in their various fields of study. The school recognizes student excellence and offers academic opportunities to promising students through scholarships. Students may be granted scholarships upon formal application. They also offer GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) scholarships.

nitt.edu - Delhi Technological University, established in 1940, offers courses in biotechnology, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, polymer science and chemical technology, production and industrial engineering, computer engineering, and many more. Undergraduate, post-graduate, PhD and continuing education programs are available. School facilities include a computer center, library, hospital, security, swimming pool, canteens and gymnasium. The university accepts 15% of applicants from the AIEEE and 85% from the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE). It also offers admission to foreign nationals.
