How to Clean Brick Houses
- 1). Spray the bricks with water from a garden hose to wet the bricks. Scrub the bricks with a stiff bristled brush to remove loose dirt.
- 2). Rinse off the dirt and debris from the house by spraying the bricks with water from the garden hose. Inspect the bricks for mold and moss.
- 3). Scrape mold and moss off of the house with a non-metallic spatula. A metal spatula should not be used, as it can scratch the bricks.
- 4). Mix 1 cup of bleach with 1 gallon of water in a bucket. The bleach solution will kill mold spores and moss.
- 5). Dip the brush into the solution. Scrub the moldy bricks with the brush, occasionally dipping the brush into the bleach solution.
- 6). Rinse off the bleach solution by spraying the bricks with water from the garden hose. Allow the bricks to air-dry.
