Walking in Jersey is one of the best ways to explore this gorgeous isle - and there is no better time to discover this then during Spring Walking Week.
Organised by Jersey Tourism, the event is one of two walking weeks that take place on the largest of the Channel Islands each year, and is the ideal way to enjoy those breathtaking surroundings while learning about the island at the same time.
This year's event takes place from May 14th to 21st and will boast dozens of different trails, each specialising in a particular topic and catering to all skill levels - meaning you are sure to find at least one walk that appeals to you.
Best of all, the walks are completely free, leaving you with more money to spend on gifts, souvenirs, mouth-watering meals and treats like a traditional Jersey cream tea.
Measuring just nine miles by five, Jersey has long been a favourite with fans of the great outdoors, due to its beautiful surroundings and views it is home to.
Despite its petite size, the island has several different terrains, meaning you can either take a cliff top trail between the sandy beaches or hike across the countryside encountering the pretty wildflowers along your way.
Indeed, the island is a great place to visit at all times of year, whether you fancy an energetic walk or a gentle stroll.
But during Spring Walking Week, you will be able to do all of this and more.
Catering for people of all abilities, the event boasts almost 40 different walks, with many led by experienced and knowledgeable guides.
The majority of the routes will take you in a circular motion so you will finish at the point you started from.
Several have been organised to allow participants to make use of the excellent local bus service to travel between their Jersey accommodation and the beginning of the trail.
Whatever your interests, you are sure to find a tour that appeals to you.
Some of them will allow you to learn more about the wildflowers on the island - many of which you may not have much of a chance to see on the UK mainland.
There are also several historical routes for you to take, including tours that explore the island in the context of its German occupation during World War II and others that go back even further in time to the Neolithic Age.
If you are something of a foodie you will also be well catered for, with trips to teach you about the varied dishes to be found on the island and plenty of opportunities to sample some of these as well! And of course, all of the trails will allow you to totally immerse yourself in those beautiful surroundings.
You may even wish to head out on your own for one of your days on the island and as all of the roads and paths are so well signposted you don't have to worry about getting lost.
So, if this sounds like a dream holiday for you, make sure you don't miss out on Spring Walking Week.
But if you are not lucky enough to visit during this time, don't despair - just plan a trip to the island during Autumn Walking Week instead!
