- 1). Throw out anything moldy or spoiled that can cause your chickens to get sick.
- 2). Throw out mushrooms, potato peels, egg shells, cherry and peach pits, apple seeds, alcohol, chocolate or other sweets, dried beans, onions or raw eggs. Cooked eggs are fine if mashed up and the shells ground down.
- 3). Place appropriate leftovers in a plastic or washable bowl and put them down where the chickens can get at them to eat them.
