Auctions are a great way to find trucks for sale.

    The prices are lower than buying a truck from a dealer.
  • Cons: There is no warranty.
    You will take the truck as-is.
    If there are any repairs that need to be done, it will be at your expense.
    You will have to pay cash or have financing lined up before you bid.
Private party sales are when you find a truck for sale from another person.
  • Pros: you will probably get a good price on the truck.
    The truck may be found locally.
    The seller may be easy to work with.
  • Cons: You will not get a warranty with the truck.
    You will have to take the truck to a mechanic to have it checked over at your expense.
    It may require some repairs that you must be willing to pay for.
    You will have to pay with cash.
    You will have to handle the title transfer.
