How to Place Screen on Screen Enclosures
- 1). Measure the outside area of screen enclosures to be screened, allowing at least two additional inches on all sides.
- 2). Using heavy-duty scissors or wire cutters, cut your screen into pre-measured strips.
- 3). Install screen base strips that fit the measurements of your outside post screen enclosure, following manufacturer's instructions and using a nail gun. Standard measurement is a 3 ½-inch base and 4-by-4 posts.
- 4). Install screen on screen enclosures by pulling screen fabric taught with your spline tool, rolling it and pushing it into the groove of your base strip.
- 5). Trim excess screen and discard.
- 6). Using your nail gun, apply cap trim cut to fit the outside measurements of your base strips.
