How to Get a Florida Tax ID Number

1). Apply online for your Florida tax identification number. Visit the IRS website to obtain one. This is the preferred method for customers. You will answer a series of questions to validate the need for the number and then you will be issued it immediately if you qualify.
2). Call the IRS to obtain a tax identification number at (800) 829-4933. If you qualify you will be provided a number over the phone.
3). Fax your request for a Florida tax identification number by filling out form SS-4 and faxing it to:

Fax-TIN: (859) 669-5760

You should receive a confirmation fax within four days along with your tax ID number.
4). Apply by mail and receive your Florida tax ID within four weeks.
