1999 Ford F250 Options
- The 1999 model year was the first year the Ford F-250 was available. The pickup truck was an upgraded version of the F-150 model, with more powerful engine options and additional features available to customers who wanted a larger truck than the F-150. The truck had an original retail price ranging between $19,370 and $28,935, depending on the trim level.
- The 1999 F-250 came in a number of trims, all of which came in four-wheel drive and a rear-wheel two-wheel drive options. The basic trim packages were the XL, XLT, XL SuperCab SWB (short wheel base), XL SuperCab LWB (long wheel base), Lariat, XLT SuperCab SWB, XLT SuperCab LWB, XL Crew Cab SWB, XL Crew Cab LWB, Lariat SuperCab SWB, Lariat SuperCab LWB, XLT Crew Cab SWB, XLT Crew Cab LWB, Lariat Crew Cab SWB and the Lariat Crew Cab LWB.
- The 1999 F-250 came with one of three engine types: the standard 5.4-liter V8, an optional 7.3-liter diesel V8 and an optional 6.8-liter V10. The 5.4-liter V8 produced 235 horsepower at 4,250 rpm and 335 ft-lbs of torque at 3,000 rpm. The 7.3-liter turbo-charged diesel V8 produced 235 horsepower at 2,700 rpm and 500 ft-lbs of torque at 1,800 rpm. The 6.8-liter V10 produced 275 horsepower at 4,250 rpm and 410 ft-lbs of torque at 2,650 rpm. Transmission options were a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, a five-speed manual overdrive transmission or a six-speed manual overdrive transmission. The five-speed manual was standard equipment on all versions, while the automatic transmissions were optional.
- The 1999 Ford F-250 came with a variety of color options for both interior and exterior. Interior options were either a tan cloth or a tan leather scheme. The exterior came in black, black and tan, amber, hunter green, toreador red, light tan, white, red or woodland green. A CD player was also available as an option for all versions of the truck. Power seats were available in the XLT versions of the F-250.
