Teachers often need creative games to entertain girls while in the classroom. Despite the age or grade, teachers often select games that not only entertain but also teach vital information and lessons. When teaching at an all-girl school, the games can be more feminine and include dress-up, shopping and arts. - You can create games from arts and crafts projects. For younger girls, you can teach them the art of painting and staining glass. This gives girls the opportunity to be creative and design something personal. You can make a game of the crafts by challenging the girls to make a personal design, use a specific number of colors and ask them to present the art when it is completed.
- Girls love dressing up and wearing various clothing, shoes and costumes. For a game, ask the girls to dress up and create various outfits with different types of garments. The game rules can include aiming for the most completed outfit, including shoes, accessories and socks. This game allows the girls' imaginations to run wild and let their creative juices flow, while keeping a competitive spirit in mind. At the end, the girls can show off their outfits in a parade.
- Label items in the classroom with a price. Give each girl a budget and some paper money and ask them to go shopping. You will act as the cashier. The game is to stay within a budget. The challenge is to buy as many items as possible within the given budget, whether it is a pencil, an eraser or a chair.
- The shopping game can also be converted, so the girls work as the cashier and you play the shopper. Grab items around the classroom that are labeled with prices and ask the girls how much the purchase will be. It is up to the girls to use their math skills to determine how much the total is. To make it more challenging, avoid using round dollars and add cents.
