- 1). Remove the TRU-9460's battery cover from the back of the handset. Turn the handset upside down. Use your thumbs, while supporting the TRU-9460 with your palms, to slide the battery cover up and away from the handset.
- 2). Disconnect the current battery from the port inside of the TRU-9460's battery compartment. Hold the handset with one hand, while unplugging the battery's cable with the other hand.
- 3). Remove the battery from the TRU-9460's battery compartment. Use a finger to pry out the top of the battery.
- 4). Plug the new battery's power cable into the power port inside of the TRU-9460's battery compartment. The power cable's terminal is designed to fit into the power port in one direction. If the power terminal doesn't fit into the power port with ease, flip the terminal around.
- 5). Lower the bottom side of the battery, the side with the power cable, into the battery compartment. Lower the top half of the battery into the battery compartment.
- 6). Replace the TRU-9460's battery cover. Place the cover along the tracks outside of the battery compartment. Orient the cover so that its arrow faces away from the speaker on the back of the handset. Slide the cover back into place.
