How to Clean Plexiglas With What You Have
- 1). Choose a cleaning cloth. You need a soft cloth to prevent scratching your Plexiglas. Use a microfiber cloth, cheesecloth, terry cloth, jersey cloth, cotton flannel or another type of nonabrasive cloth that you have around the house.
- 2). Dust your Plexiglas. Blow off any surface dust and dirt. Wet your cloth with water and wring it out over the plastic sheet to float off the remaining dirt and dust. Repeat this process until your Plexiglas looks clean. Don't scrub with the cloth, or you will scratch the surface.
- 3). Make a mild cleaning solution to get rid of stubborn dirt and dust. Combine 1 tsp. of mild dishwashing soap or laundry detergent with 1 pint of lukewarm water. Pour this solution into a spray bottle.
- 4). Spray the cleaning solution onto your Plexiglass. Gently wipe it off with your cloth, constantly turning or rinsing the cloth so that you always wipe the sheet with a clean section of material. Repeat these steps until your Plexiglass looks smooth and glossy. Blot the Plexiglas dry with a clean, barely damp cloth. (page 32)
