On any given the day, the human brain produces around 70,000 thoughts.
Isn't that an astounding figure, considering the fact that it's impossible that we could be aware of every single one of those thoughts? We couldn't possibly stop on each one of the thoughts and process them could we? No, we simply don't have enough time to do that, but what if we had help? We are using only 10% of our brain on a conscious level and the rest is under the control of the subconscious mind, which silently and helpfully runs in the background.
If this wasn't so, then just how are we still living because we aren't consciously keeping our bodily system running are we? No, because as I said, it's the job of the indefatigable subconscious mind.
"Only one thing registers on the subconscious mind: repetitive application - practice.
What you practice is what you manifest.
" Fay Weldon It is well known that what a person thinks of most often, is what will manifest in their life, therefore in order to live happily and as we wish to be, we must impress positive and ambitious thoughts upon our subconscious mind.
First though, we must learn to observe our current set of prevalent thoughts, the ones that pass through our subconscious mind and so are not noticed by us, because that is where we will find the worst limiting thoughts.
Once we discover them, we can begin working on stopping them.
The trick to observation is to stop yourself, mid-action sometimes or mid-reaction.
We need to look at the automatic actions or the habits, for example, fits of jealousy, anger and depression.
Why is this? It is because all action is preceded by thought, and therefore, thought is the cause of the action.
For example, next time you find yourself getting angry, listen, I mean really listen to the thoughts that are rushing around your mind and you'll see what I mean and how they are the cause.
Once you see these habitual thoughts and what they cause you to do, you can start working on stopping them in their tracks.
Once you have pinpointed the thoughts, begin stopping them in their tracks before they cause you to take action that you don't want.
As soon as a negative thought pops into your mind mentally say "NO, I have no use for you.
" Then clear your mind for 15 seconds.
That will stop the chain of negative thoughts dead, and you can then choose a more positive thought instead.
Keep a journal of our thoughts each day, jot down the ones you wish to work on, and keep a progress report.
You are the master, control your subjects and your kingdom shall run smoothly.
"The subconscious is ceaselessly murmuring, and it is by listening to these murmurs that one hears the truth.
