We Built That - The Chamber Website Said

Not long ago, I was reading the blog on a Chamber of Commerce website here the United States.
No, it's not a well-known Chamber of Commerce, but it seemed to capture the essence and the pulse of the small business community with a rather interesting comment.
I would like to share this with you, and tell you what I think it means.
The blog post read something similar to this; "We are an energetic, intelligent, talented, caring, and quite frankly we are the future of small business.
We built that and we are here to win - are you in?" That is interesting isn't it? It seems that with all of this class warfare somehow small business owners have been labeled part of the 1%, and therefore less than honorable.
I think that is a travesty because the small time entrepreneurs are the ones that sponsor the Little League teams, give donations to silent auctions for local community nonprofit groups, and they are the ones that hire two-thirds of our population.
That's probably not a very good segment of our society to malign.
In any case it doesn't surprise me that they are fighting back a little bit, that they are starting to make statements, and that small entrepreneurs are coming out of the woodwork with something to say.
Their message is quite simple, don't point fingers at us, we are the only ones working hard, we are the ones holding up the fort, and you need us.
That statement above which I read on a blog says all of those things, and although I haven't seen any statement quite that bold yet, I've seen quite a number of entrepreneurs speak out.
Why do I think this is? I think we are going to see a pendulum shift in attitude here the United States, and I think the citizens, especially the small business people are going to reject socialism.
There is a lot of pushback, and a lot of folks are still upset that our president told entrepreneurs that they didn't build that when he read his speech from a Teleprompter to a group of union representatives.
The reality is that these smaller companies and all these mom-and-pop shops have been supporting our citizenry, society, civilization, and economy for hundreds of years.
We'd all be fools to deny it, and we'd be even bigger fools if we didn't right the wrongs of the politicians who have been trashing little business folks for the last few years.
It is my sincere hope that you will please consider all this and think on it.
If you are a businessperson with a smaller company, I hope you too will speak out any time anyone speaks against you, or any of us.
