Foam Termite Treatment
- The foam formulation works by injecting foam above ground into the walls of a termite-infested building. The foam contains insecticides aimed to kill termites and other pests.
- The expanding foam is able to fill all areas of the infested structure, including small holes and crevices. Liquid treatments do not have this capability.
- Once the foam dissipates, the insecticides are left behind in all spaces of the walls and stay there for years. According to the American Scientific Mold, Pest & Termite Control, its foam treatment lasts for up to five years. Other methods do not leave behind residual insecticides and require re-treatment.
- Because the foam treatment is above ground, there is less risk of contaminating underground water and causing other environmental hazards. It also doesn't release harsh chemicals into the air like the fumigation method.
- Foam is good for small spaces where liquid can't cover all infested areas. It is especially ideal for houses that have settled and left gaps where termites can accumulate.
