How to Use Zone 2 on Rx-Z9
- 1). Arrange your second room's television, amplifier, speakers and infrared receiver. Attach the television, amplifier and speakers to one another, if they aren't already.
- 2). Connect your RX-Z9 to the second room receiver via a composite audio/video cable. Match the red, white and yellow connectors on one side of the cable to the ports in the "Zone 2 Out" heading on the back of your RX-Z9.
- 3). Match the opposite end of your composite video cable to the red, white and yellow ports beneath the "Audio/Video In" ports on the back of your second receiver.
- 4). Plug the infrared signal receiver's connector into the "Remote Out" heading, beneath the "Control" heading on the back of your RX-Z9. Power the RX-Z9 "On."
- 5). Turn the RX-Z9's "Rec Out/Zone 2" knob to the heading associated with the source you'd like to output to your Zone 2 receiver. For example, you can set the RX-Z9 to output "Cable" or "DVR."
- 6). Use the arrow buttons on your RX-Z9's remote control to select the "L: Amp" option from the receiver's display -- press the remote control's "Enter" button. Use the arrow buttons, to select the "Zone 2" option, and the press the "Enter" button.
- 7). Power on your Zone 2 receiver to complete its setup.
