Portable Crib for Overnights At Grandma's

I've lost count on how many times I've given a portable crib as a baby shower gift. In fact, all the portable cribs I've ever given out were Graco Pack 'N Play Playards. It's really easy to see why this is the bestselling crib of its type out in the market today. And it all starts with its sturdy and comfortable construction.

Several months ago, it had been my turn a Graco Pack 'N Play Playard from my buddies at my baby shower. Much like most moms who depend on baby cribs in our own home, I desired one for the road. We frequently visit my mother's house because there are a couple of nights in the month when I'm not able to spend time with my little angel. Therefore the baby and her portable yet handy crib take a visit to Grandma's house. Some cribs are marketed to be portable, but they are often not. This particular one features its own carrying case. Just fold, zip and it is all set to go within the boot of the car!

Portability aside, I was extremely concerned about my baby's safety. Safety and security features were a higher priority, so I had been glad when the feedback from my pals confirmed the Graco Pack 'N Play Playard meets and exceeds safety standards for baby cribs which are portable. This is because of how small the mesh actually is which prevents any buttons on the baby's clothing from getting stuck at the bottom. In addition, the mesh is secure on top where the rails are and also at the bottom. That is to make sure that the newborn fall out of the crib.

Another factor I had to consider was ease of use. My mother is 65 years old, and she wanted one that she could set up easily. This portable baby crib has Graco's proprietary push button folding system that's easy to figure out and easy to use. My mother boasts that she can set this up in under a minute. This is an extremely handy feature when concerning all sorts of baby cribs.

I read some reviewers say that they had concerns about how low this portable crib sits on the floor. I actually love that it sits low, because for me, that means added stability. I could not do without my Graco Pack 'N Play Playard. I feel good when I see my baby sleeping comfortably in the bassinet that comes with it, and I know that my mother didn't have a hard time setting it up. And that's what works for me!
