- 1). Measure out the dosage as indicated by your veterinarian on the label of the bottle, using the syringe included in the bottle.
- 2). Approach your pet with a kind voice. Talk to him. Explain what you are doing even though he may not understand. Your kind voice will soothe concerns over your actions. Pet him so that he relaxes.
- 3). When your pet is calm, approach the side of his mouth. Pull out the cheek gently to make a pocket. Administer the liquid wormer inside this pocket into the mouth, gently squeezing out the medicine from the syringe into the mouth. Stop ever few seconds to give him a chance to swallow.
- 4). Administer the medicine with a favorite moist crumbly treat if he doesn't respond well to the medicine by itself. Simply mix the medicine and treat together in a bowl, adding just straight treat on top,. Give to your dog. He won't notice the medicine, and he'll readily accept it.
- 5). Once administered, be sure to praise your dog. Pet him and give him an extra treat.
