And that means food.
You have to eat adequate food in order to stay healthy and keep your strength up for the sake of your own health as well as for that of your baby.
DHA is vital to new mothers.
It is a special type of Omega-3 fatty acid that is found in many foods, including in Salmon.
There are studies that indicate DHA is a vital component of breast milk.
But adding a little bit more into the mix doesn't hurt.
DHA has been shown to improve brain function as well as eye development.
Many moms and babies also don't get enough calcium.
Calcium is necessary for the classic stuff such as strong bones and healthy teeth, among other things.
Babies need it and so do new mothers.
It can be found in milk and cheeses, along with its pal, vitamin D, which is also a great thing for both people.
Meats such as beef are also great sources of important nutrients.
Beef contains iron, which is useful for maintaining energy.
It also has some other things such as vitamin B12 and protein, which are great for the developing body.
Immunity is a benefit of eating more fruits and vegetables, yet something that new mothers may overlook if they are not careful.
They need plenty of fruits, especially things like blueberries and oranges, which are very high in vitamin C and antioxidants, known for their abilities to boost the immune system.
Beans and grains are great.
New moms should eat lots of both.
Beans are high in fiber.
Beans are also high in protein.
Both are necessary for things to work right.
Grains are like wheat and cereals.
These are also high in stuff.
Stuff like folic acid.
The challenge of eating proper foods is a stealthy one, but it can be done.
