How to Clean a Kitchen Ceiling That Is Covered in Smoke

1). Remove food from the area to prevent the cleaning solution from getting on or in it.
2). Put on gloves to protect your hands from drying. Put on goggles to protect your eyes from the cleaning solution.
3). Soak a clean sponge with rubbing alcohol.
4). Rub the sponge over the surface of the ceiling to remove the bulk of the smoke stains. Work until the entire ceiling is clean or is as clean as possible.
5). Soak a clean sponge in paint thinner. The paint thinner will remove the rest of the smoke stains.
6). Rub the sponge over the smoke stains on the ceiling until they are completely gone.
7). Rinse the sponge in clear water and rub it over the ceiling to clean it completely.
8). Let the ceiling air dry fully.
