Aloha! Having a Hawaiian Luau Party?
There are lots of fun things you can do for this party to make it memorable and unique.
Make your Luau a 'Blue Hawaii' with a fifties touch.
Play some old fifties Elvis music for your guests to dance to.
If you like you can hand out party favors of dark shades and hair combs.
Put up blue streamers and give out leis made from blue flowers or even give out tropical blue drinks.
Guests can come wearing the every popular Hawaiian shirt and sandals.
Don't forget to play the Limbo game.
And if you can it might be fun to watch the popular Elvis movie at some point in the party.
If you have a lot of space and are planning on having your Luau outside you may be able to find some exotic entertainment for the evening.
Flame throwers are always exciting for guests to watch or you can hire someone to teach guests how to dance Hawaiian style.
If you're in for some excitement set up a fire walking tournament.
Spread out those hot coals and see who can stand the heat.
Many people have some form of roast pork and pineapple at their Luau, but you can but a little twist on it by serving up Hawaiian pizza or pork and pineapple Kabobs.
Or serve up some traditional food for guests to try.
Laulau is a combination of pork, chicken, beef and/or fish wrapped up in Ti leaves and baked in an underground oven.
You can replace the Ti leaves in this dish with spinach leaves and set them in the coals of the grill after wrapping in foil.
This could be an excellent appetizer with a sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
