No Intimidation! No Extortion! Be Content With Your Pay!
the balance of interest between military forces
and ordinary civilian life may pose problems
that may sometimes be quite difficult to resolve
Because the common people often have little interest
in solidifying the power of the government
But the armed forces by their very nature often have a need
to provide support to whatever regime may happen to be in charge
The situation however may become increasingly complex
if the soldiers begin to create a collective identity of their own
Granted many military men have developed considerable capacities
that have allowed them to prosper and thrive
but there is always an ongoing fear that they might capitalize
upon their military might, and in these particular situations
efforts to intimidate and extort advantages from ordinary people
could begin to have a corrupting influence on civilian life
And if the circumstance becomes widespread, prevalent and extreme
the ordinary pleasures of daily existence could very well be in jeopardy
Because military organizations are seldom democratic entities
and a dominant army would in all likelihood erode what may be described
as a simple freedom of choice
When authority is vested in the barrel of a gun there is rarely enough time to debate
There is no time for self-reflection or the ability to carefully weigh all of the facts
In such a condition little tyrants often have the capacity to rise to the fore
And cerebral people are likely to be bullied
Gone is the essence of civilization as society can become a giant cage
So before any of this happens it is extremely important that the rank and file
remains well coordinated but thoroughly in check
To lose control would be a tragic mistake
A coup d' etat is the first step in a revolution and chaos is often the unintended result
So unless you are an anarchist who harbors a pathological intent
it is critical that the foot soldiers and infantry receive sufficient pay
Destitution may be the precursor to violent upheaval and it would be very unfortunate
if severed heads would begin to roll
Liquidate the criminals and be sure that loyal, intelligent people are placed
in positions of authority
Widespread warfare is always a last resort but small military jaunts
are often helpful to maintain the morale of the jugheads because if they become bored they might be complacent
And of course you must always keep them prepared to do their duty
whenever unfortunate events and calamities begin to strike
