How to Get a Bleach Smell Out of Synthetic Clothes
- 1). Create a mixture of one-quarter cup white vinegar, one tablespoon table salt, and one-quarter cup hydrogen peroxide. Stir the ingredients until they are thoroughly mixed.
- 2). Place the affected synthetic garments into the washing machine. Pour the white vinegar and peroxide mixture directly over the garments.
- 3). Run the machine on a cold water setting and allow it to complete all of its cycles before continuing.
- 4). Smell the clothing and if the bleach smell is eliminated, dry the clothing according to the label’s directions. If the unwanted smell persists, mix an additional batch of the bleach-odor eliminator described in Step 1 and wash the clothing again.
