    Brown University

    • Brown University is located in Providence, Rhode Island's capital city. Brown has an enrollment of 5,900 undergraduate students. Many students at Brown focus on the sciences. Forty-five percent of students focus on social sciences, 19 percent on biology and 11 percent on physical sciences.

    Harvard University

    • Harvard is in Cambridge, Massachusetts, another small-city location. Harvard has 6,700 undergraduate students. Forty-one percent of students major in one of the social sciences. Thirteen percent focus on biology and nine percent 9 percent major in history.

    Columbia University

    • Columbia is in New York City, in a very large city environment. It has 5,700 undergraduate students. Twenty-six percent are majoring in social sciences, 19 percent of students focus on engineering, and 9 percent are history majors.

    University of Pennsylvania

    • The University of Pennsylvania is a bit larger than Columbia, and is in the city of Philadelphia. The university has 9,800 undergraduates. The top three majors are business/marketing at 23 percent, social sciences at 16 percent and engineering at nine percent.

    Cornell University

    • Cornell University has the largest enrollment, with 13,700 undergraduates. It is located in the small city of Ithaca, New York. The most popular majors are engineering, which 19 percent of students major in, business and marketing, with 13 percent and agriculture, with 12 percent.

    Princeton University

    • Princeton University is in the small town of Princeton, NJ. It has an enrollment of 4,900 undergraduates. The most popular major is engineering, which 17 percent of students major in; 13 percent major in history and 12 major in politics.

    Dartmouth College

    • Dartmouth is in the small town of Hanover, New Hampshire, and it enrolls 4,100 undergraduates. The top three majors are social sciences, which 32 percent of students major in, psychology with 9 percent and and history with 9 percent.

    Yale University

    • Yale University is in the medium-sized city of New Haven, Connecticut. It has 5,300 undergraduates. The most popular majors are social sciences at 25 percent, history at 12 percent and integrated studies with 10 percent.
