Face Masks to Treat Dry Skin

    Non-setting Masks

      Face masks made from natural ingredients are ideal because they are not tightening on skin and quickly infuse moisture into the epidermis. They also help to stabilize the skin's pH and water level balances. A combination of fruit and vegetable masks stimulate sluggish dry skin, whereas herbal and vegetable masks help alleviate dryness. Cucumber masks also work well on sensitive dry skin and rosemary masks are very effective as a tonic to rehydrate dry skin.

    Nourishing masks

      Avocado has a high oil content that helps nourish dry sensitive skin. Skin and mash an avocado into a paste and use on its own or mix it with some honey and lemon juice. Apply mask to the face for 20 minutes. Alternatively, mix honey with some olive oil to help nourish dry skin. Heat the mixture to make the mask more fluid. Cool and apply to the face for 20 minutes, covering with a gauze cloth.

    Rejuvenating Masks

      To help rejuvenate your skin, grate one piece of squash and apply to the face. Alternatively, mix squash with some ground oatmeal and apply the paste to the face and neck for 15 minutes and rinse with milk. For a natural glow and radiance, try a mask made of oatmeal mixed with water. Also, egg yolk mixed with honey or olive oil makes a good rejuvenating mask. Likewise, a paste of glycerin, honey and some essential oils will help revitalize dry skin.

    Anti-wrinkle Masks

      Cabbage and banana face masks work well as an anti-wrinkle treatments. Mash a quarter-banana into a smooth pulp and spread on the face for about 15 minutes. Similarly, grate some cabbage and boil it in milk until it becomes a soft paste. Once cool, apply the mask on the face and neck for 20 minutes. For very dry skin, add one raw egg and some vegetable oil to the boiled cabbage and make a paste. After cooling, apply it to the face.
