- 1). Shampoo and condition your hair. Dry hair thoroughly with a blow dryer.
- 2). Add equal amounts (about 1/2 cup each, depending on length of hair) of hair bleach with 20 volume developer in a glass mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly to a smooth, creamy consistency.
- 3). Apply mixture from 1/4 inch away from the roots to end of the hair with an applicator brush, Cover all the ends of the hair, then apply the mixture to the roots (the heat generated from the scalp causes the mixture to work faster at the roots).
- 4). Wait about 25 minutes, then shampoo and condition the hair again.
- 5). Apply toner and work throughout hair evenly using your fingers. Allow hair to rest for five to 10 minutes or until desired tone is reached.
- 6). Shampoo and condition hair again. Style hair as desired.
