Think about it, everything about you is on your smartphone, phone numbers, contacts, birthdays, information, passwords, and credit card information.

Personally, I own a small dumb-phone for a reason.
I've gotten along fine without all the information on the go, features, and apps.
Indeed, I also note a higher productivity level than my fellow friends, no not in everything, those little devices can definitely improve productivity, but mostly people just end up part ADHD and part multi-tasking schizophrenics.
In the third quarter of 2013 AT&T decided that it would give customers the options of upgrading to a new smartphone without the 24-month contract wait, why? Well, sales aren't what they used to be.
Does this mean everyone who wants a smartphone has one? Maybe, but maybe there is more? There was an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal on July 16, 2013 titled "Smartphone Upgrades Slow As the 'Wow' Factor Fades," by Spencer E Ante which noted that only 68% of people upgraded their smartphone since 2008, the number of people this year is down by over 9% however.
But why is that? Well, I have a talked to a number of people now who have not upgraded because they don't trust that technology, GPS location give-away apps, or the latest NSA disclosures by Snowden.
But at least you don't have to wait to get to heaven anymore - your whole life is already in the cloud? Due to the cost of smartphones and the outrageously expensive data plans, you can understand why not everyone has purchased one, that on top of the whole privacy issues.
Still, the allure to give up a little privacy for the intense productivity and efficiency increases in your daily life and work - make it mostly irresistible for a huge percentage of our population and they don't plan on getting rid of their trusty smartphones even if they barely use 15% of their capabilities, which brings us to yet one more reason; why upgrade if you already like your current phone and have accustom to using it? Indeed, I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
