Ever considered getting your eyebrow pierced? Facial piercings are one of the more commonly used forms of self expression in not only teens but thousands of young adults across the country.
Not only is it considerably safe, it's a little rebellious, hot and definitely sets you apart from the crowd.
Usually the eyebrow is pierced at a 40 degree angle from the outside corner of the eye, but can be safely pierced anywhere along the eyebrow from right above the eye to the edge or corner of your eyebrow.
Although any and all piercings of the face and body can easily become irritated or infected, eyebrow piercings are atop the safest and taking only up to 6-8 weeks to heal and once to twice daily cleaning with an unscented antibacterial soap as well as a mild disinfectant.
A common misconception is that alcohol should be used to clean your wounds however it dries it out and shouldn't be used as a daily cleaner.
Barbells, curved barbells and captive bead rings are what most people are wearing today.
Each of these jewelry types put varying degrees of pressure on the piercing, which can cause irritation or piercing migration over time, especially in fresh piercings.
Unlike various other piercings, surface bars or other appropriate jewelry is not always used in the initial piercing, and the use of more commonly available body piercing jewelry often creates an unnecessarily large risk of migration or rejection in eyebrow piercings.
With proper care the piercing will heal quite quickly and with few problems.
After healing, eyebrow piercings generally close up around 5-6 weeks after the jewelry is taken out.
This is because the skin where the piercing is done is quite thin, and contains many hair follicles where it doesn't have much tissue underneath to give it strength.
However, there are some occasions where the closing up process can take quite a long time.
This depends on many factors: the length of time a person has had the piercing, how their body reacts to the removal, and how quickly their body heals in general.
When you get a piercing there is a high chance of infection.
Make sure that the tools are sanitized before getting your piercing.
If bacteria enters where the piercing is this will cause inflammation in the skin, where your eyebrow was pierced.
You may experience pain, heat, or even fever.
You should not touch or move the piercing during the months of the healing process especially when cleaning it.
When it heals sometimes pus and bacteria can leak out of the piercing, which could cause a crust to form around the jewelry.
Don't not get the crust back into the healing wound this will cause pain and infection.
Eyebrow piercings are of contemporary origin like most surface piercings.
These music origins would include rock, heavy metal, punk rock, hardcore punk, electronica, dubstep, and drum and bass.
There is no Gay side or Straight side to the eyebrow ring.
This is just wishful thinking and urban legend.
Some groups like to make claims to idiotic ideas.
So really there is no underlining factor stating that one side is gay or straight.
So is an eyebrow piercing for you? I know that I love mine.
