How to Make a Sea Buckthorn Infusion
- 1). Heat purified water in a metal teapot or pan until it is boiling. Purified water will ensure that your infusion is of the highest quality.
- 2). Pour the boiling water over the sea buckthorn herb that has been placed in a cup or porcelain teapot, and cover it with the lid. Use one cup of water for every teaspoon of the herb.
- 3). Steep the herb for 10 to 15 minutes. Steeping is simply soaking an herb in boiling water while covered with a tight-fitting lid so the steam cannot escape. If steeping in a cup without a lid, a saucer may be placed over the cup.
- 4). Pour the infusion through a strainer into a cup and sweeten with a teaspoon of honey if the taste is very unpleasant. Raw honey is preferable due to the healing properties it contains.
