- 1). Call the customer service number located on the back of your Green Dot card. If you do not have your Green Dot card handy, you may call 1-877-434-3578.
- 2). Enter your 16-digit card number when prompted. If you do not know your card number, you may enter your Social Security number followed by the pound key.
- 3). Select the option to cancel your account and wait for a customer service representative.
- 4). Provide the customer service representative with the information necessary to verify your identity, such as your name, Social Security number and billing address. Once the representative confirms your identity, inform him that you wish to cancel your account.
- 5). Ask the customer service representative to send you confirmation of your account cancellation through the mail or via email.
