- 1). Go to a website on which you can make icons and themes for Nokia 6500. Some of these websites include Zedge, Own Skin or Astod. (See Resources.) To make icons, sign up on the website.
- 2). Go to the website's "Create Themes"/"Make a Theme" page.
- 3). Specify "Nokia 6500" from the list as your handset.
- 4). Select an icon pack from the templates, and choose different colors and styles. You can select various combinations to make the icons unique.
- 5). Add other details to the theme or leave it as it is. You can choose background images, wallpapers, virtual buttons and other components. All these components are available on the website's library.
- 6). Click the "Save"/"Download" button, and save the theme on the desktop.
- 7). Connect your Nokia 6500 to the computer using its USB cable.
- 8). Go to "Start" > "My Computer," and open the phone's folder. Then navigate to the "Themes" subfolder.
- 9). Drag and drop the theme with the custom icons from desktop to the "Themes" folder.

Go to "Menu" > "Settings" > "Themes" on your phone. - 12
Choose "Select Theme." Now the Gallery will open, from which you can scroll down and select the theme with your custom icons.
