Keep Knocking on Doors Until One Opens

I just finished reading an article profiling Arsenio Hall and his late night show come back.
In the article he talked about the power of persevering.
At first nobody was interested in his attempt to make a comeback.
He kept trying until he found one executive who believed in his project.
Arsenio Hall went on to say, we need to teach our kids this.
If you really want something, keep knocking on doors until somebody says, "Come in.
" This is great advice for professional salespeople too.
Keep knocking on doors until somebody says, "Come in.
" Here's something else to think about.
Human potential is a funny thing.
You use it or you lose it.
If you don't live up to your potential you end up dying with permanent potential.
Yuk! Don't ever sell yourself short.
Always aim high.
Shoot for the stars.
Never doubt yourself, because when you do, others will start doubting you too.
Don't just be a dreamer.
It's not enough to dream big.
Though it is an important first step.
Be a DOER! Take daily action steps to achieve your dreams.
When it comes to "Doing" always do what's important first.
Doing what's easy first is easy.
Doing first things first (Important stuff) is a better approach.
"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation," according to Henry David Thoreau.
Why be desperate, when you can be achieving? Nothing in this world is impossible unless you agree it is.
Here's an example, a role model for you to follow.
Her name is Brittany Wenger and she's from Sarasota.
She's a 19-year-old freshman at Duke University.
Here's a partial list of some of her achievements.
She invented a system that gets more accurate breast cancer diagnoses.
She won an international science fair's $50,000 grand prize.
She was named to Time Magazine's list of 30 people under 30 who are changing the world.
She was invited to the Annual White House Science Fair last April.
Brittany is transforming her human potential into one achievement after another.
It's been said, you become what you think about most.
What are you thinking about every day? What are your most dominant thoughts? This is the start of a New Year.
You can choose to make this the best year ever.
And remember these words, "If it is to be, it is up to me.
" Actually the "Me" is You! Dream big and make every day a masterpiece.
Finally, do you have any idea what would happen to your selling results if you made one more sales call every day? It's a no-brainer - you'd have your best year ever.
Just do it!
