Avoiding Medical Bills through Bad Credit Loan

About 4 years ago we moved into a rented home in Marietta, GA a suburb of Atlanta. The home was in a very nice neighborhood in the East Cobb area which is an area that is well known and established.

I had been previously employed at Bellsouth as an inside sales rep 2 years before that but had lost my job due to a layoff. To make a long story short, we eventually lost our new home, lived in extended stay motels and with inlaws for a while until I could get back on my feet. In order to do this I worked 2 full time jobs. I for a temp agency and the other as a night security job and at some point I'll blog the whole thing but I'm just providing background for now.

Our neighborhood is very nice and in Georgia during the summer the grass grows like crazy so we needed a lawn mower which I did not have the money to get. I looked through Craigslist and found a free mower at a garage sale. The mower was very heavy but it was free, I had a very difficult time getting it in my car but I did.

Later that night when I got to my security job, I could barely make it to the front door because I couldn't breathe and my chest really hurt. Was I having a heart attack? I contacted our shift supervisor who was retired military and he analyzed me right over the phone. He told me to relax and the fact that I could do some of the things he asked me to more or less said I wasn't having a heart attack but he would call an ambulance if I wanted one. I knew I couldn't finish the shift out in the state I was in so I decided to say yes.

An ambulance did arrive. They checked me out and said even though I was fine I should still go on to the hospital. I told them I didn't have insurance and they said just come on they could work something out but it would be worse if they have to come back. They said they have one person who calls them about 3-4 times a month and he didn't have insurance. I agreed and went about a 4 minute drive to the hospital.

After signing many papers I receiving tests and a MRI I found out that I had torn the lining in my chest. I guess due to the fact I had to put a very heavy lawn mower in a tight space.

I signed more papers and was released that morning.

A few months later the bills arrived and they totalled over $6000. I did not have the money so I ignored the bills. I didn't answer the numerous calls and found that in theory if you don't answer the phone, the collection agencies cannot send authorities until they know for a fact that you are at the specific location.

Eventually the creditors contacted my employer at the security guard company. We have a close relationship so my employer asked me what to tell the creditors. I said please don't say anything at all to the fact of whether I work there but just stop contacting them. That worked. Eventually the calls tapered off a few months later and the only thing was the fact that my credit report was messed up.

I contacted an online loan company and worked out a loan for $2500. Their credit repair department said they would contact the creditor and work out a payoff for $2000 and give the $500 difference.

I took their advice and the situation worked out. Now my credit report shows that the bill was paid even though I did not pay the full amount.

I always thought the online loan companies were BS but I was able to get a Bad Credit Loan through one. Not all of them are crooked but you must be careful and check out the companies online first to see if any of them have any complaints.

Due to my good experience with the company I asked if they could train me to do the same type of work and I now also work as a PT credit repair consultant.

I really enjoy helping others.
