How To Receive God"s Forgiveness

Forgiveness is available for all who truly desire to be forgiven.
God has provided the means for each of us to experience the joy of a conscience free from guilt.
His provision, through the Lord Jesus Christ, His Son, can release us from the tension and stress brought about through the awareness of some wrong that we may have done.
Guilt is a mental force, which can cause undue depression and the fear of future punishment, brought about by the wrath of Almighty God.
But we can be forgiven, regardless of the sin that we may have done.
Yes, we can experience real inner peace with God, knowing that He has released us from our sins and washed them away.
God has made the way to receive His forgiveness easy.
As a matter of fact, His way is so simple that, much of the time, people cannot believe that it is that easy.
The forgiveness which He offers is on two levels.
The first of these levels has to do with the actual remission of a sinful nature, which we received because of our union with the first man God created, whose name was Adam.
When God first created man, he was made in a state of innocence.
He was without sin and he had the awesome privilege of communing and fellowshipping with God, without a consciousness of sin.
He was clean.
However, Adam went against Almighty God and disobeyed Him.
This brought about a sinful nature in Adam, which was passed down to every man, woman, boy and girl who came after him.
This is clearly stated in The Holy Bible.
All who came into the earth after the first man, came into this world born in sin and shapen in iniquity.
(Psalms 51:5, Romans 5:12) We therefore, had no ability to fellowship with God in intimate communion, as His children.
We needed a Savior.
We needed someone who could bring us back to God and remove the sin nature from our hearts.
(Did you notice that no one had to actually teach you how to sin? It was in you to do wrong).
God, seeing our condition, because of His great love for us, sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for our sins.
He shed His precious blood to wash away the sinful nature from us and make us new persons, new creations in Him.
(2 Corinthians 5:17) Jesus was raised from the dead and now desires to come and cleanse you from sin.
All you or I need to do to receive forgiveness from the sinful nature is to admit that we are a sinner, and that we believe Jesus died for our sins, and arose from the dead.
Then we need to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
And that is all.
Yes, it is that simple.
(Romans 10:9-13) The next level of forgiveness is for those of us who have already given our lives to Christ, but still find ourselves falling short and missing the mark.
In other words, God has also, through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, provided forgiveness for every time we sin.
We should be doing our best, at this point, to live close to God, by reading our Bibles and praying, asking God for His help to live this life.
But we do miss it.
And God has ensured that if we confess and admit to Him that we have sinned and ask Him for forgiveness, He will forgive us and cleanse us from whatever we did that was wrong.
(1John 1:9) You do not need to live guilt-ridden and depressed.
You can receive God's forgiveness.
He loves you.
So, stop condemning yourself and receive His forgiveness today.
