Installing Executable Files

• 1). Download the program you want to install to your HTC Mogul by finding the downloadable executable (.exe) file on the Internet. Save the .exe file to the desktop or a folder that is easily accessible.
  
  
• 2). Connect your Sprint Mogul from HTC to the computer using a mini-USB cable. Plug the mini-USB end of the cable into the Mogul while connecting the USB "A" end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer. Wait for ActiveSync to launch, which happens automatically upon connecting the Mogul.
  
  
• 3). Double-click the .exe file downloaded in Step 1. The installer first copies important files to your computer before transferring them and installing them on your HTC Mogul.
  
  
• 4). Choose the destination directory to which you want to install the program on your Mogul. This must be done using the touchscreen or keyboard on the Mogul, not your computer. Click the "Install" soft key in Windows Mobile on the Sprint Mogul to copy files to your smartphone.
  
  
• 5). Restart the device after installation if prompted by Windows Mobile. After restarting, or immediately after installation if a restart is not necessary, open the "Start" menu and then the "Applications" folder to confirm that the program was properly installed to your HTC Mogul on Sprint.
  
  

Installing Cabinet Files

• 1). Launch the web browser on your Mogul, and navigate to the website that hosts the cabinet (.cab) file that you want to install on your smartphone via Windows Mobile. You can also enter the direct download link into your web browser of choice on the Sprint Mogul.
  
  
• 2). Select a download destination for the .cab file by pressing "Save" on the Mogul's touchscreen. Choose the smartphone folder to which you want to save the .cab installer.
  
  
• 3). Open the "Start" menu, and click "Programs" on your Mogul. Open the "File Manager" by clicking on it or pressing the "Enter" key on your Mogul's keyboard.
  
  
• 4). Locate the folder in which you saved the .cab file, and select the .cab installer by double-tapping on it or pressing the "Enter" button on your Mogul. Upon launching the installer, the program will be automatically installed on the Mogul.
  
  
• 5). Delete the .cab file using File Explorer if you need to free up space on your Sprint Mogul's internal memory or external storage card. Press and hold over the name of the .cab file, and select "Delete" from the menu that appears.
