Hi, I'm T. Cooper. I'm a New York City makeup artist, hairstylist, and co-founder of beauty and grooming company Metro Look. Today, we're gonna talk about a question one of you recently asked which was how do I style men's hair nicely with no product. You see a lot of times men don't like to use a product in their hair which is fine because you're guys but sometimes some of you need it but if you insist on using no product I'm gonna show you 2 different ways to get it done. One way to make the hair look nice and neat with no product would be to incorporate heat tools. Where as long as you're using a heat tool especially because of the fact that you're not using any product to weigh the hair down it's just gonna go whichever way it wants to go but if you use a heat tool it'll kind of make it go the direction you want it to go. So like say I want to smooth this hair down right here and make it go this direction cause it naturally wants to go this way. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take my heat tool and I'm gonna pull it going backward and then you see now the hair is going the way I want it to go because of the fact, I'm gonna turn him to the side so you can see that I incorporated a heat tool before it was going forward cause that's the way his hair naturally goes but when you incorporate heat tools you can just make it go anyway you want to go. I know a lot of you guys don't like using flat irons and straighteners and what not but you know it doesn't make you any less masculine especially if you don't want to use heat tools. I mean if you don't want to use product then heat tool's a good way to go. Another way, let me turn my lovely model around, is good old fashioned water. You can't go wrong with water. Water will make your hair obey and a lot of times what I like to do especially when I'm doing guys is I don't like to saturate the water, the hair with water. What I'll do is I'll like spray the comb and then or the brush whatever I'm using and then get it through like that because if you put too much water on the hair it just might make it hard to dry and what not and so you see there's some water on here and it's making the hair obey. I'm combing it backward and it's doing what I want it to do and if you need a little bit more you just spray some more water on the comb. I'm getting water all over here.
