    Making Single-Cup Coffee Bags

    • 1). Empty out the tea from bags and brew tea with a tea ball instead. Then use the bags to brew single cups of coffee. Place a tablespoon or more of coffee in the bag and staple shut, then pour a cup of hot water over the bag and let steep for 2 to 3 minutes.

    • 2). Purchase empty tea bags in quantity from discount or department stores, and use these instead.

    • 3). Add a tablespoon or more of coffee to a coffee filter and fold the filter in half. Turn the filter halfway and fold again. Fold again if it appears necessary to keep the coffee contained inside. Put the filter between the tines of a fork and then set the fork into a coffee mug. Add a cup of hot water.

    • 4). Take a coffee filter or t-sac, a filter for brewing loose-leaf tea. Add a tablespoon or more coffee to the filter, then tie the top closed with a string and put the filter in a coffee mug. Add hot water and let steep.

    • 5). Use the commercial option, the Perfect Pod Maker, which creates single-serving bags with a hot press.
