How to Use Rubber Stamps for Custom Gift Wrap
- 1). Unroll your butcher paper on a flat surface. You may want to lay it over newspaper to prevent any damage to your furniture when painting and stamping.
- 2). Decide on your color scheme. Butcher paper is white, so you might want to choose a more festive color. Feel free to paint your butcher paper as desired--the paper is sturdy and it will absorb the moisture well without tearing.
- 3). If desired, you can add glitter to your paper when the paint is still wet. The paint will act as a glue when it dries. Let your paper dry completely before applying any rubber stamps.
- 4). Pick which rubber stamps you want to use to customize your paper. These stamps will range in price from very inexpensive to a little more costly if purchased from specialty stores.
- 5). Apply your stamps to the dry butcher paper. Because the wrapping paper will be enclosing an object and moved in different directions, it is best to use a random or repeating pattern for your stamps.
- 6). Let it dry completely before cutting and wrapping your gifts.
