How to Label Brushes Made With Animal Hair
- 1). Cut the green tape. Using your scissors, cut off a strip of tape about the length of your finger. You can buy electrical color-coding tape online or at home construction stores.
- 2). Place the tape and slice it. Position the tape on the cutting mat. Using the rotary cutter, slice the tape into three or four smaller strips.
- 3). Wrap the tape. Paintbrush handles have varying widths, but many of them are quite skinny. Take one of the small green strips and wrap it around the handle of all of your natural hair paintbrushes. Hopefully the green color, a color often associated with the natural earth, will help you remember which brushes are indeed natural.
- 4). Snip away excess tape. Handles may require different amounts of tape. Use your scissors to snip away any tape that is left over after you have wrapped your brush once.
