A Golf Swing Tip That Will Improve Your Whole Golf Game
This golf tip that I would like to present to you has nothing to do with the actual swing, but could very possibly end up being the most beneficial golf advice you have ever received.
Stick with me and you will see the value in what I have to offer.
All amateur golfers do the same things before they set out to the golf course for a round of golf.
What we do is go through a mental and physical check list such as:
- Do I have all my golf clubs, are they all in the bag?
- Do I have my favorite golf balls, and do I have enough?
- Do I have enough tees?
- Don't forget my golf shoes, do they need to be cleaned, or need new spikes?
- Do I have a good golf glove?
- Don't forget my hat.
- What's the weather like, do I have the proper clothing, do I need a windbreaker or an umbrella?
After many years of playing golf we go through our list naturally without giving it a great deal of thought, we just do it out of habit.
What I want to tell you now is extremely important, and it may be the golf swing tip that will change your game forever.
You must add one thing to your checklist and make it as natural as all the others every time you set out for a round of golf.
Unlike the other items on your list, this is not a physical thing, that you are going to take with you to the course.
It is something that you must leave behind and never take with you.
What is this thing you must absolutely leave at home? Ready? Here it is.
FEAR! FEAR! FEAR! Always leave home without it.
Why? Because you need to free up your mind to focus on the task at hand in order to play relaxed and play your best golf possible.
You cannot play your best game if you fear hitting a bad shot, fear the hazards, or out of bounds.
You must not fear what your buddies will think about you if you hit a bad shot.
If you do hit a bad shot you must put it out of your mind and not fear hitting another.
Begin thinking positively, eliminate fear from your game and your swing and scores will improve dramatically.
