    • 1). Order your data, from smallest to largest or some other logical way. For example, assume you have 15 kids who are aged 14, 10 kids aged 15 and 13 kids aged 16. You could order the data by age.

    • 2). Find the percentages for each group of data. In the example, you total is 38 children: 15 divided by 38 equals 39.4 percent for kids aged 14; 10 divided by 38 equals 26.3 percent for kids aged 15; 13 divided by 38 equals 34.2 percent for kids aged 16.

    • 3). Calculate the cumulative percentage by adding the second group to the first. Continue for each group. In the example, the cumulative percentage for kids aged 14 and 15 is 39.4 percent plus 26.3 percent, which equals 65.7 percent.
