How to Host a Candy Making Party
Things You'll Need
Instructions
Before the Party
1Send out invitations two to four weeks in advance. Indicate the hands-on theme of the party so guests can dress accordingly.
2
Gather two or three candy recipes that can be made easily in a home kitchen. Lollipops, pulled molasses candy, or molded chocolates are ideal.
3
Purchase a candy thermometer if you don't already own one. It will make the candy making process much easier.
4
Purchases chocolate molds, lollipop sticks, and any other supplies needed for your candy. Also pick up small cellophane bags in which to wrap the cooled candies.
5
Pick up plain white boxes for guests to take their candies home in.
Make the Candy
1Review the instructions and warnings for making the candy once all the guests have arrived.
2
Make the candy. While it is cooling have kids decorate their take-home boxes.
3
Serve some light refreshments, such as punch, veggies and dip, and finger sandwiches.
4
Wrap up candy in the cellophane bags, leaving a few pieces out to sample.
