Ideas for Kid's Valentine Gifts
- Around Valentine's Day, many stuffed animals, plush toys and other valentine-themed toys show up in stores. These can be found in any mall, drug store, discount store or specialty gift shop. Get your child a big plush love bear or fill a gift bag with smaller valentine-themed gifts as a special treat for her. Search your favorite retailers about a month before Valentine's Day and check their toy sections; you are bound to find a fun gift for your child.
- Kids love candy, and Valentine's Day is a great time to treat them to their favorites. You can buy them miniature candies in a variety and put them in a gift bag, give them a heart-shaped box of chocolates or buy them a Valentine's gift basket with an assortment of candies and other goodies. This is also a good time to make candy at home by using heart-shaped candy molds.
- You can make homemade Valentine's gifts for or with your child. Kids love to help out and get involved in creative activities, so find some fun love-themed crafts to do with them. A fun craft to do is make candy rings. To do this you just need individual wrapped pieces of candy, chenille stems and craft glue. Wrap a chenille stem around your child's finger to size it, then remove it. Add a drop of craft glue and the candy to the top of the ring; the child can wear it once the glue is dry.
- Spending quality time with your kids during Valentine's Day is a possible gift. Show them how much you love them by giving them a kid day where they get to decide what to do, play or watch. Let them pick some fun activities you can do as a family, like baking cookies, doing crafts, watching movies, going to the park or playing board games.
