How to Compare Credit Card Reward Offers

    Interest Rate

    • The higher the interest rate is on your card, the more money you ultimately will give to your credit card company. This makes the value of your rewards worth less. Determine which cards offer rewards that you like and then choose the card with the lower rate.

    Fees

    • Fees are another thing to consider. If your annual fee is higher than the potential rewards you can earn in a year, then you are basically paying for your rewards. Choose the card that you like best from those that do not charge an annual fee.

    Types and Points

    • A good way to compare your credit card offers is to categorize them into reward types. Discard the offers that are of less interest to you. Once you have that narrowed down, take a look at how much money you have to spend to earn one reward point, and how many points are required before you can redeem them for a reward.
