- 1). Check the price. Juicy Couture sunglasses come with a price tag and a pair can range anywhere from $90 to several hundred dollars. If you find a pair of Juicy Couture sunglasses and the price seems just to good to be true, it probably is. Fake products are manufactured at an extremely low cost, so the person selling them to you will still make a decent profit even if you only pay $15.
- 2). Think about where they are being sold. Juicy Couture is a luxury brand and is generally stocked in high-end department stores and boutiques. If you find Juicy Couture sunglasses at outdoor markets, bazaars and shopping kiosks, they are probably fake. It is unrealistic to think that a brand like Juicy Couture would authorize their products being sold on the street. Suspicious websites with no association to legitimate department stores should also not be trusted to sell authentic Juicy Couture sunglasses. Frequently what you receive in the mail is not what is advertised on the site.
- 3). Check the packaging. Juicy Couture sunglasses come in a luxurious designer case, which is packaged inside of a box bearing the Juicy Couture logo. Juicy Couture sunglasses that are being sold in a bag or with no packaging are definitely fake.
- 4). Examine the sunglasses for loose pieces. Fake sunglasses are generally of poorer quality than authentic ones, so check the sunglasses to see if the pieces and logos are all securely in place. Wobbly logos, loose pieces or missing screws could all be signs of a fake.
- 5). Inspect the font and logo. All luxury brands, Juicy Couture included, have a trademarked logo that uses a specific font. Counterfeiters will often make very slight, almost unnoticeable modifications to the logo design or text shape and format. Check any writing on the sunglasses and packaging closely to make sure it is authentic.
