    • 1). Obtain a convenience check from your credit card issuer. These checks are mailed out by issuers; you may need to call the issuer to request one. Sometimes issuers send these during promotional periods and offer lower interest rates.

    • 2). Check your available cash advance limit either by logging on to your credit card issuer's account website or by calling the card issuer. This amount represents the maximum amount you can transfer to a checking account.

    • 3). Fill out the check completely, including the amount of money you want to transfer. Take the check to your bank and deposit the check into your checking account. It may take a few days for the check to clear.

    • 4). Use the credit card to withdraw cash from an ATM using your credit card PIN if you need to do the transfer quickly and have no checks available. If this is your first time doing so, you will need to call your card issuer to set up a PIN. Withdraw the amount you need and take the cash to your bank and deposit it into your checking account.
