- 1). Go to NikeID and click on the ribbon bar button for the desired sport. A drop down menu opens, redirecting you to the appropriate page displaying existing NikeID footwear available for design. Choose the desired cleat style to redirect you to the appropriate Web page.
- 2). Look to your far right for a design progress bar, which indicates the required steps to finish designing the cleat. If the bar does not read 100 percent, you cannot order the cleats with your customized design. If you have selected a cleat that has a few steps previously designed by Nike, you can click on the Start Blank button to your far left for a blank version of the selected Nike style.
- 3). Hover the mouse on a specific spot on the blank area of the cleat. By clicking on the area, the color or texture window opens. Select a primary and secondary color for the cleats. Certain models also allow you to add a Nike graphic. As the designer, you can choose complementary team colors or add an original color scheme.
- 4). Continue to repeat Steps 3 and 4 by clicking on the remaining blank areas, such as selecting complementary lace and lining colors. For example, if you are designing the football cleat using the Nike Zoom Vapor Fly, the window allows you to choose the desired plate color as well as the plate type. For instance, select the plate for cleats requiring traction on dry, firm surfaces or for traction on wet or soggy grass conditions.
- 5). Add the heel ID to the back view of the cleats. This design feature allows you to add your team number or initials to the back heel along with the Nike design logo or graphic in your desired color. Most models have a two character limit and do not allow you to upload original logo designs. The tongue ID also allows you to choose from the original Nike cleat logo or choose from existing Nike design graphics.
- 6). Choose your size from the size drop down menu and click on the add to cart button to review the selection. A window opens giving you an estimated delivery time frame for the customized Nike cleats along with the price. Review your order before adding sensitive information, such as credit card information.
