    Gardening Basket

    • Forgo the traditional Easter basket with a terra-cotta pot for those girls who enjoy working in the garden and planting flowers. Stuff the pot with Easter grass and candy, maybe adding a few gummy worms for a neat garden effect. Add mini terra-cotta pots, flower kits and seeds that the girl may plant throughout the year. Place a new pair of cute gardening gloves and tools in the Easter basket that the girl may use one day in her own garden. Paint lady bugs or bees on the outside of the pot, or add stickers pertaining to the garden theme.

    Stuffed Animal Basket

    • Make a stuffed animal Easter basket. Depending on the age of the girl, purchase stuffed animals that she may like. For example, if the girl fancies kittens or puppies, buy several of these stuffed animals and place them in the basket. Add picture books and movies pertaining to the particular animal. If the girl is currently trying to add to her collection of the ever-popular Beanie Baby, purchase as many as you can and fill the basket with these soft and cute creatures. Include candy of all sorts, even a chocolate bunny which is a perfect choice for most baskets, particularly a stuffed animal basket.

    Dress-Up Basket

    • Create a girl's dress-up Easter basket. Include makeup, nail polish, and hair accessories such as ponytail holders, barrettes, headbands and fashion clips. Throw in candy jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets and ring pops. Don't forget to include a washcloth, facial soap and moisturizer that will help teach young girls the importance of taking care of their skin at an early age. Perhaps slip in a written coupon that entitles the two of you to a manicure at a local nail salon.

    Summer Theme

    • Put together a summer theme Easter basket. Perhaps the family lives near a beach, a pool or even a lake. If the family is going on a vacation during the summer, this basket would be a great idea for the girl. Include sunglasses, sunscreen, a fun "girly" towel, sun visor, beach bucket, shovels and a disposable camera. Don't forget to include a small journal and pen just in case the girl has time to jot down a few of her favorite memories along the way.
