- 1). Go straight to the source. Minnetonka moccasins, have been making and selling them since 1946. You can find them on the internet and have them shipped to your house. This is the most straightforward, easiest thing to do. They are so affordable that you can easily buy multiple pairs in different colors and styles.
- 2). Check out vintage stores if you live in a major city. Most hip resale shops will have a pair or two in fairly good condition. You’re not guaranteed to find your size, however. This is a good option if you are a little low on cash and don't need to find your squaw boots immeadiately. You should be able to find a pair at a vintage store for approximately $15-17.
- 3). Locate your nearest independently owned boutique that carries clothing for women between the age of 17-35; there is a high likelihood that they will sell squaw boots. Squaw boots are a staple of young fashionistas. They can be worn with hippie, modern, and hipster looks. Squaw boots look especially nice with dresses or skinny cut jeans. They come in both knee high length and ankle boots.
- 4). Go to a trendy department store. Prior to the celebrity sparked moccasin trend that began a few years ago, you didn't see moccasins for sale much outside of vintage shops and North Shore Minnesota gift shops. Now you can find them at most Bergdorfs, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom. Be forewarned, the boots are likely to be a little pricier at a fine department store. This is the most expensive option.
