I did not last long as a distributor but I was introduced to self-help.
I can still remember one of the tapes I listened to from one of the Direct Distributor.
He told about how he got started.
Some of the things he covered was that a one time he was so broke that he went to the store and bought the biggest jar of peanut butter he could find.
Then he went to the day old bread store and bought some bread.
That was all he and his family had to eat that week.
He went on to tell how he would have to drive two hours from his home.
After he had worked all day to give a demonstration.
Just to find only a few people show up.
He was not able to enroll anyone Then he had to drive two hours back home.
Getting home very late and having to get up in the morning to go back to his day job.
With Amway you have to reach a certain sale level to make Direct Distributor.
He was finally getting close enough to make Direct Distributor but it did not look that he was going to make it.
Then an old lady who was not selling very much before came in with a big order.
It just so happens that she was having a fund riser for her local church and had sold a lot of products.
The thing he had that most people do not have is a defiant purpose and a burning desire.
Napoleon Hill in his book "Think And Grow Rich" He states, "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve".
I remember in one of his later books that Napoleon Hill tells the story about how he was confronted by a man who informed him that his method did not work.
He ask the man what he had done.
The man stated that he had written out the goal to make a million dollars and then he followed the steps in the book and has yet been able to reach his goal.
You see you can enroll in the best program on the web to make money.
Then follow the plan to a tee and still not reach your desired result.
Unless you have a defiant purpose for the money you earn and a burning desire to reach your goal.
I am sorry to say.
It will never happen.
There are some people on the web that will tell you that having a passion for what you are doing has nothing to do with it.
That it is all about the money.
My reply to them would be that yes they did have a burning desire.
Their desire was to have the things that money would buy or do for them.
I do not care what program you are involved in.
The program has nothing to do with it but you do.
If you have a defiant purpose and a burning desire nothing can stand in your way to reach it.
Things will just start to fall in place.
You may find a better or more honest program to go with.
Which is more in line with who you are.
You will start to have ideas on how you may be able to better promote your program.
Or you may come up with your own product or service to promote.
If you already have a product or service maybe you will come across a Joint Venture Partner with a good size list to promote to.
The possibility's are endless.
But first you have to sit down and decide hat your defiant purpose is and then create a burning desire to reach it.
