GE Stove Burner Repair
- 1). Unplug the GE stove from the wall, or turn off the stove's breaker inside the main service panel of your home.
- 2). Push the burner toward the burner receptacle beneath the stovetop to release it from the tab holding it to the GE stove's drip pan. Lift the burner up about 1 inch above the stovetop. Pull out and away from the receptacle to remove the burner from the stove.
- 3). Touch the two leads from a continuity tester to the two terminals on the burner touching one lead to each terminal. If the tester doesn't light, the burner is damaged and must be replaced.
- 4). Insert the replacement GE burner into the burner receptacle. Push the burner down into the drip pan until it locks in place.
- 5). Plug the GE stove into the wall, or turn on the stove's breaker inside the main service panel of your home.
